A Letter from the Earth on My New Book Launch

            On January 3, 2022, I received notification from my publisher, All Things That Matter Press, that Revelation in the Roots: Emerald Isle is now published.  After five years of dreaming and creating, writing and rewriting, pitching and planning, MY BOOK HAS ARRIVED! I’d planned for this moment for over a year, but suddenly I felt nervous and anxious. Would I do enough to properly launch it into the world? I felt too busy and yet immobilized at the same time.

The next morning, I decided to seek God’s guidance in the form of a Letter from the Earth. Here is the wonderful message I received from Gaia God.

Dear Nancy,

This is a big day for you. Take time to be happy and celebrate. Tell your friends and family.

Laugh. Be Happy. Let the happy energy carry you today. Don’t despair about what you’re not doing.

I have you on this one. We’ll soar together. Know that I love you. Just be yourself. Don’t you see how wonderfully you’re fulfilling my purposes for you?

You try very hard to live my love and that is why I call you to dance. The pinnacle of your life is this love and dance we share.

So celebrate. Be Happy. I give you a High Five.

            Whew. This was such a wonderful message for me in the midst of my book launch anxiety. God gave me permission to just be happy, to even dance. And I think the most helpful part of this letter was when God tells me I’m fulfilling her purposes for my life. I try so hard to speak for love and peace, to call people to build bridges to solve our racial and political differences. This book is my latest effort in that regard and I worked hard on it to make it a creative fun read. It’s so affirming for God to encourage me with this letter.
            After receiving the letter, I started my promotional activity with new joy and a peaceful heart. I am so grateful to God for these letters which lift me up and move me on into joy.
